THE IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISE
Exercise has
always been known to be beneficial. Now proven studies show
exercise to be essential to our well-being and aids in the
following:
- Weight loss, weight maintenance, better body composition
- Reducing Hypertension (blood pressure) with improved cardiovascular
fitness
- Delaying adult onset of Diabetes
- Lowering cholesterol levels, reducing risk of Heart Disease,
Stroke
- Prevention of Osteoporosis through improved bone density
- Improving blood circulation bringing many benefits: improving
nutrient delivery, improving immune response to fight bacteria
and viruses
- Curtailing the use of tobacco and alcohol
- Reducing the risk of some cancers
- Improving emotional well being – a brighter outlook
on life
- Improving mental sharpness
- With the improvement of body composition to more muscle
mass, the body has less fat tissue where toxins store, therefore
less disease caused.
- Increased muscle mass also means the body is a better
fat burner/fuel burner leading to increased energy levels
and lessens the need for stimulants such as caffeine.
Our life seems too busy but thinking out a way to fit exercise
into your routine is not as difficult as it seems - you’ll

What
is the Pilates method of Training?
Pilates is a focused
mind-body exercise method performed on a mat or specialized
equipment. Designed for a broad range fitness levels (rehabilitation
to elite fitness), it improves posture, core strength, balance,
flexibility and overall strength.
What
is the GYROTONIC®
Exercise and GYROKINESIS®
Exercise Method of Training?
The GYROTONIC
EXPANSION SYSTEM® is an exercise modality that
uses specialized equipment to guide the body to stretch
and strengthen muscles, ligaments and tendons simultaneously.
It improves range of motion and coordination and aids in
maintaining health and well-being.
The GYROKINESIS®
GROUP CLASS utilizes a stool and a floor mat and
allows one to work on the entire body through seven natural
elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side,
right side, left twist, right twist and circular. This approach
systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through
rhythmic and undulating movements. Integrating corresponding
breathing patterns with the movements stimulates the body's
internal organs and increases coordination, endurance and
aerobic activity.

RANGE
OF MOTION EVALUATION
Many
people reduce or cease exercise because of pain or restrictions
that they feel cannot be overcome. Others with existing
workout routines may feel at a standstill. This evaluation
may be instrumental in making those key changes. It takes
one HALF (30mins) session and ideally should be done periodically
to evaluate progress. It defines and identifies imbalances
that a customised program can address and improve.

Without daily
physical exertion, our bodies become storehouses of unreleased
tensions.
With no natural outlet for our tensions, our muscles become
weak and tight and we lose touch with our physical nature,
with life’s energies”. - Bob Anderson, Author
